Under Client and Server, you can create DWORD values DisabledByDefault (0 or 1) and Enabled (0 or 0xFFFFFFFF). Under each of those subkeys, you can create subkeys Client and/or Server. Under that key you can create any subkeys in the set SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2. Start with the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols registry key. By configuring Schannel, you can configure your app's behavior. Your app's networking goes through Schannel (which is another name for Secure Channel. You can use the registry for fine-grained control over the protocols that your client and/or server app negotiates.
